Getting to Cortona

Located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany Cortona is very easy to get to both by train (train stations in Terontola and Camucia only few miles away from the town centre) and by car in spite of its hill-top location at about 600 metres a.s.l.

International airport of Florence-Peretola (about 80 miles).
International airport of Perugia-Sant'Egidio (about 40 miles).

By train

Once in the train station Cortona may be easily reached by coach or taxi cab

Driving
Get off the Autostrada del Sole A1 highway at the Valdichiana toll-booth.

1. Siena-Perugia toll-free speedway, direction Perugia;
2. Exit Castiglion del Lago-Cortona,
3. S.S.71 (State road) direction Terontola-Cortona-Arezzo;
4. After about 3 miles right junction to Ossaia;
5. After about 2 miles right junction to Mercatale-Pergo;
6. After about 300 yards the entry gate to Villa Sant’Angelo will be on your left-hand side
